Brazing requires the removal of the oxide film! The method for removing the oxide film differs between the atmosphere and the furnace.
From the easy-to-understand "Brazing" series, we introduce "Atmospheric Brazing and Furnace Brazing." Brazing first requires the removal of the oxide film. By removing the oxide film, the "braze" can wet properly. "Atmospheric brazing" requires flux, which acts to remove the oxide film on the surface of the base material.
